Music in the Market

I love the street musicians in the Old Market! I played the flute long ago (and still can - just not nearly as well as before), and I love that this guy played all sorts of songs, with no sheet music, calmly leaning against the railing as the people sped by.

I like your photo too. The flute player reminds me of the Pied Piper. Black and white helps the effect too.

It's always nice when you walk by someone who is playing an instrument. Doesn't look like anyone is paying attention to him. When we go to the ball game there is always a guy standing out front playing the sax for money. I usually throw in a few bucks. At least he's doing something for the handout.

When I was there last month, I took a picture of a woman playing guitar. She said, "fine, as long as you don't post it at some weird web site." I laughed. I wonder if DP is a weird website. What do you think? (I have not posted it yet and probably won't because of what she said.)
